Yep, Vance Boelter had a kill list of around 70 politicians. Most were Democrats, but many were Republicans. Minnesota is a deep blue state, so a majority of Democrats is not shocking.

Early reports after his arrest said he had targeted Melissa Hortman because she had leaned too moderate, and sometimes worked with Republicans. He himself has not given any motive, but he said it "wasn't about Trump stuff or abortion."

When arrested, he had flyers from a " No Kings" rally in his car. No manifesto has been found. He is pro-life, but not all Democrats are good with killing unborn babies. Some sources say he registered Republican around 2000, but the New York Times said state documents listed his recent Party affiliation as "none or other", or as " No party preference".

Most notable, but missed by the Nutty Professor and closet Democrats is the fact that there was no widespread cheering from Conservatives and Republicans over this, or widespread calls for more violence and assassinations. The Liberal Left Democrats are mentally ill, and dangerous. Polls show that a very significant percentage of Liberal Left Democrats feel political assassinations are justified. There are sick people on both sides, but the mere suggestion that it is anything close to equal is disingenuous at best.

I'm still waiting for Elon Musk or some Conservative billionaire to finance paid protests, and for months of riots, arsons, and looting to honor Charlie Kirk. So far, all is quiet. We are not the same, and at some point, reconciliation becomes impossible.

Mainstrea media and even the BBC is all over this, completely unlike the Hortman assassinations.

Brent I hate to say this but I never heard of this before you mentioned it, and I'm sorry to hear of this, but most of the United States and other countries have heard of Charlie Kirk and have seen the large crowd of students that come to his speeches.

Yes, that's sort of my point. Kirk is getting more coverage in the Mainstream Media than the Hortman assassinations (and also the attempts on the Hoffmans that night), along with the attacks on the governors of Michigan and Pennsylvania and maybe even Pelosi, have received far less attention. The MSM is definitely not treating these murders and attacks equally.

Hortman was known basically just in her state, although it was covered by the MSM. I was made well aware of it at the time in a foreign country. Kirk was on an entirely different level of fame and influence and comparing the two is really stretching it.

Just saw your recent post. It should be obvious but the treatment is different because of the level of the crime, the fame and influence. This is obvious stuff Brent. None of the examples you mentioned are at the level of Kirk for either of those three criteria.

Besides Hortmann, none of your examples died. The MSM dropped the assassination attempt on Trump pretty quickly.

Excuse me Stan, but, just a few facts should be brought up. I apologize in advance.

Melissa Hortman was rated a big, fat, zero by the NRA, for many good reasons. She was no friend to sportsman or gun owners. Embarrassingly, she was the House leader of a trifecta of Minnesota democrat leadership that saw the evaporation of an $18 billion surplus (that is billion with a b) that ran through their nasty little fingers in less than one year. We have a serious shortfall looming. Little to nothing of the surplus was returned to taxpayers. This, combined with the fact that school test scores in the state declined 20% in both math and reading during her tenure.

Charlie Kirk asked people to debate him. He was clear, kind, and made it perfectly obvious that his soul belonged to Jesus.

Melissa Hortman helped to destroy the fabric of society in Minnesota. If Tylor Robinson had been arrested in Minneapolis, there is a good chance “Bloody Mary” Moriarity would have released him with cashless bail to his own recognizance.

While I would have much preferred her electorate waking up to her lousy legislative performance, and finding somebody else to vote for, nobody who hunts or owns a gun, or possesses more common sense than a new born turkey poult, should miss Melissa Hortman.

Best,
Ted

I guess you are right. Hortman was a long-time, legislator and Speaker of the House. In other words, a practicing politician of some considerable consequence, whereas Kirk made his living as an influencer/activist - so, yup, not comparable.

Call me old fashioned, Ted, while I believe murder is murder, apparently, it is only murder if it is a political compatriot for you. I guess you are the New Age guy. And you comments about what Hortman would (NEVER) have done, are pretty despicable, but totally in keeping with the kind of person you are. Minnesota's fabric is pretty undestroyed. What an absolutely dumb thing to say.

A murder is a murder, but all people are not the same:

There are very good reasons why people in neighboring states never heard a thing about the Hortman murders (there were two, by the way, and two more attempted murders) and people all over the world are mourning Charlie Kirk. You can’t figure it out?

Doesn’t surprise me in the least.

22% of graduating kids here read at grade level. Despite billions being thrown at education.

Feel free to enlighten us on how the tampons in the little boys bathrooms here, helped.

Best,
Tedhelped.

Have what, Ted? Have what?
Graduating kids all over the country, including red districts and states, cannot read or write worth a damn. This is not news. You are a big part of that.

Nope, Kirk was not at the level of Hortman as a public servant and citizen. She was well respected by most, even across the aisle - but not by you, of course. Why is that, Ted? You have a lot of hate. Did you fly your flag a half-staff for Hortman like most respectful Minnesotans? I bet not.
