Stephan,
Dan’s gun is a 12, the video links to a 20. It is a beautiful 12, too.

Might just be me, but, I would have given the ad here a bit more of a look with more information- level of proof, length of chambers, exact weight, disclosure of whether the gun remains in proof, etc. I couldn’t find a clear shot of the proof marks on the flats, either, but, Imgur doesn’t always let me in to see everything without signing in, which, I usually refuse to do. Direct photo links are better, but, folks struggle with getting them up.

Good luck with the sale.

Best,
Ted

Ted;

Thanks for your words to me. Did you notice that this 12 bore is built in best gun methods and even has chopper lump barrels. It may be a sleeper bargain. I now understand why Daryl is surprised that no one here bought it.

Stephan,
I did notice that. However, I’m old, jaded, and have paid hard cash for cold lessons. I immediately want to know what level it was proofed for to begin with, and where it is now. Period. I want a clear shot of the flats of the barrels. I don’t know Dan, but, I have noticed, particularly with gun dealers, not disclosing various important points with English guns is not usually an accident or an oversight. If I had a dollar for every gun I excitedly called on, and asked the measurement of the chambers, as to how it was proofed, only to get an earful of diarrhea of the mouth, I could pay cash for Dan’s gun and give him a nice bonus.

Without even realizing it, often enough, I don’t read any further if the information isn’t there. Regardless of who put the ad up.

It’s me, not him.

Best,
Ted
