Again, I appreciate the advice several of you have provided. All the case color examples can now be viewed at this link:
http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=12588446&uid=6511424
Click on 'slide show' at the top of the page.
I can add additional examples as they turn up, so please feel free to post any links you feel might be helpful.

Here is a great example by Master Gunsmith Ed Landers. I was willing to drop this topic but it was an elsie this time. This is a sin.

Maybe those Lander case colors are really dried oil/water/dye mix lightly baked on. I saw those colors when pouring microfilm into bathtub water to make light wing coverings for indoor models.

3 more examples added to Picture Trail (including the above mentioned MasterEd's)
Would like to get another Lefever, an Ithaca Nitro Special, and a Baker or 2. Please post a link if you find a good candidate at a dealer website or auction site. Thanks.

It looks like to me Master Lander torchs and to refine his skill cold blues the areas not affected from the toch. Giving a multi color effect.
Very disappointing

I think those colors are original, but am no Hopkins and Allen expert.

Actually, think the price is high, but externally, this appears an interesting gun.

I have had a Baker pass thru my hands in the not to distant pass that had somewhat the same colors ---- I'd say the CC is legit. FWIW, Ken
