Things are emptying out here. Just my son here tonight and he flies out tomorrow. A beautiful day here but I've got lots of chores to do before I can go play in the woods again (birds to clean, cloths to wash, beds to make, etc.). Did have some fun yesterday tho... ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/3xdZe3Oh.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/0Fb7iiJh.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/lHlhvZVh.jpg) Switched out guns (wasn't hitting well with my 16 all of a sudden, very frustrating) and went right back to productive activities. The bottom bird is what I refer to as a "cinnamon bird", a hen in this case. Back to my 10k steps and 2 bird days.

![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/T0ueUi6h.jpg) I prefer English guns but...modern and Spanish isn't all bad. With my present eye challenges (and even some mild fit issues with my 16), this gun just makes sense right now. The fact that it's a modern 12 isn't lost on me either, because dead is dead with this unit (12s are almost always lethal for me, as much as I appreciate sub-gauge guns). So I lug the added weight and don't worry about effectiveness (because it always is).

Thankyou Ed, appreciate that.
Not many days left here now. The real work of packing it all up and then closing everything down here starts in earnest shortly (like Friday). It's been quite the adventure this year, and on many fronts. Probably got my last bird of the year here today to, so there is that as well.
I can honestly say that I did everything I could to make this Fall count, I'm hoping that this becomes more of a regular thing going forward but... I'll take it as it comes.
Life tends to throw curves, it seems.

Good to hear you made it Lloyd. Fortunately, although for sure not promised, I’m guessing another adventure awaits.
On the way to that, Godspeed.
  Best, Ted
