I’m looking for any information on the best place to try to sell some German/European guns. A good friend of mine lost his wife and he has become stuck in assisted living after a stroke. He lived and hunted in German for years. Sounds like drillings and O/U’s. Said the last one he got was a Merkel O/U 20ga/7.65. Have no idea what he has but trying to get him the best place to try and sell his guns.
I know very little about German guns. But would sure appreciate any input.
Thanks

For info, you can post them here & we can make a stab @ them.
If you are looking to get the most money, that would be over time and your time either on Guns International or Gun Broker. On Gun Broker you could set a minimum considering comps and then drop it a little after a couple cycles should they not sell. I have literally zero idea of fees & cost.
If you just want to dump them, The Attic in the Dakotas probably would pick them up as they have some knowledge and import European arms.
Lock, Stock & Barrel would be another >>Dump<< option, and they actually come to you. You just check their trajectory, meet & sell them.
Actually, I think both The Attic & Lock, Stock & Barrel take consignments......
In the event you can't post them, I will gladly do that for you.

Now I just mentioned the main ones I watch or from which I purchase as there are many more I am sure.

Thank you Raimey! It’s truly appreciated. Now I’ll have to get ahold of his son who has power of attorney to try to figure out what he has. I will definitely let you know what I find out.
Thanks again,
DD

I have a friend who had a good experience with WeBuyGuns.com. He felt they treated him very well, and they were interested in walnut and blued steel guns over the more modern plastic and stainless stuff. They are located in Indiana if that's more convenient, but do most of their business via shipping. Might be worth checking out.

Raimey provided a great list.
If the guns are "high end" guns, I would list on Guns International.

That's what I thought as well. My pal went anyway because they were close. They told him they had not been able to move the ARs and newer stuff and were making better business with the more classic sporting type guns. Anecdotal information for sure, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
