Good morning.
George at Champlin's has a Lewis 20ga damascus that catches my eye. The specs all fit my needs but one thing is curious. The bores are .673 with .026 and .030 wall thicknesses. George has confirmed that the bores are indeed .673. The bores were supposedly opened before reproof in 2001. I have no reason to doubt his findings but it seems more likely that it would be a chamber sleeved 16ga. I'm across the country from Champlin's so I can't look it over 1st hand. Has anyone seen 20ga bores opened that far and still have decent wall thickness?
