I would have asked what the LOP is before driving anywhere to look at it as a potential purchase, whether 100 miles or across the hamlet. Just common sense to ask if the barrels or the wood has been cut.
I had to go right past his house to go to Home Depot to get some light fixtures. So, I would have wanted to see the gun anyway. Not a big deal for me. Plus he had a couple other guns for sale, too. I'm always driving around looking for guns. But after I saw it, I thought I would hold off on it. He probably won't sell it for a while- if I decide I still want it. Plus I have a feeling he might lower the price and I know one guy at the club with a kid who shoots who might want it. But he's out of town right now. Maybe I could put another pad on it and sell it. I'll just have to decide. A lot of options involved. But, right now I have two guns to get leather pads on, and I just got done doing a Silver Pigeon ll, so I'll hold off on it for now. Thanks gentlemen for your opinions.
