Sounds like you want money, not the gun. Cabelas gun rooms around the country will buy for cash but give a 20% discount on value based on condition. Caution. I purchased a "grandpa's" gun from a Cabelas store in WI. I got it for less money than the former owner had in into the gun. The seller must have gotten a pretty low price for the piece. There are other options to sell: Gunbrokers auction site and GunsAmerica (not an auction) for two.
Suggest you visit a really competent gunsmith/dealer before you do anything. People on this site will help you find a 'smith/dealer if you give your location.
