Readers of this thread may not know that Lindner student and poster on this thread, JonS, my friend Jon Swindle, passed away earlier this year. He is my shooting buddy, traveling companion, and fellow Lindner collector. In his last days at a care facility, I was able to visit him on a regular basis, which some of his friends could not do. Bill, thank you for this post. As a result of this thread, Jon reached out to me back in the spring of 2020 and we began a series of phone conversations that lasted until shortly before his passing. I can't speak highly enough of him. Always a pleasure to talk to. I always looked forward to hearing from him. One of my greatest disappointments of my 20 years of vintage guns was not being able to take advantage of Jon's kind invitation for me to come down and spend a few days with him. I really regret not ensuring that happened. But I relish the fact that I did meet him, if only electronically.
