There is no Hawker connection. The image is of the original owner, the Honorable F. Channing. The upper crust of the age dressed similarly. See attached factory letter. The gun resided in the collection of Larry Shelton for many years, the author of the book on Claybrough shotguns. The Purdey pinfire in a previous post also came from the Shelton collection. Besides hundreds of Claybroughs, Larry collected other fine guns as well.
