Ok thanks.
742 miles my home and it appears that the best places to stay are in New York. I’ll need to really think about this.

New York has some nutso regulations on guns having to be locked up at all times in a hard case with combination lock or pad lock and line of sight at all times. Least that's what I remember. A fair number of folks for that reason stay in Pa. Skyline hotel in Tunkhannock is popular. Clean and certainly not 5 star but not priced like a 5 star. Good (not great) eating places nearby.

I stayed at an Airbnb not far from there that was just right. You may wish to look there for more comfortable closer lodging.
Realistically, the best way to go there and enjoy the thing, is to try to elicit some friendship on this website, and see if the locals and regulars can’t work together to make it more possible for an out-of-towner to go there and enjoy themselves.
That’s just one example of one of the things that’s lacking.
Out there doing it best I can.

Don't go their wearing a pro-Biden hat and you won't have a problem, but just to be fair, I have been their many times and wearing a ''Pro Trump Hat'' and have been verbally attacked by some Parker gun union members, You see they think anti gun Democrats don't want their double guns, but they are mistaken.

Harry, You are doing their club no great service.
Running shoots is the entertainment business. Nothing more.
For the club to have a successful shoot, they have to cast the broadest net. And that means that all are welcome.
Once the shoot starts to pick teams and take sides on politics or religion or money or any number of other things, all that does is make the potential catch of the net smaller.
So which is it you want? To go to a shoot where nobody talks politics and you have 250 shooters, and the club makes a years worth of thei capital Improvement budget off of their visiting guest? Or do you want to go to a shoot where it’s the same group of grumpy old men standing around wondering how they can chisel the 26th target off the skeet field?
Again, running shoots is the entertainment business. Every club should do everything they can to make sure that it is easy for their guests to come to their club, spend money, and enjoy themselves.
I’ve been to shoots where visiting guests were given a button that said visitor with a big smile on it, so that everybody on their grounds knew that this person doesn’t even know where the bathroom is.
Clubs that are embracing of visitors do well, clubs that are cold toward visitors generally don’t.
Out there doing it best I can.

Dirty Harry, It's interesting that you were verbally attacked by some of the Parker Gun guys for simply exercising your right to wear a Trump hat. Of course it sounds like Princess Stevie considers you a moron for doing so: I'll pass on wearing any political hats thanks.
Morons need to politicize everything...... That all runs counter to the lecture you got from Clapper Zapper. As you can see, the Liberal Left thinks is OK to attack, insult, or criticize you. But if you do anything to offend them or expose their support of anti-gunners, then you are being divisive, and need to just shut-up. The Kumbaya Crap he is selling doesn't tell the whole story at all. He's just pushing the same old bullshit about the importance of gun owners all being in some Big Tent where we are supposedly stronger together than we are divided by political differences. The problem is, this is not the 1960's, where a number of Democrat politicians actually defended and respected the 2nd Amendment. In CZ's home state of Michigan, Democrat Senator John Dingell was actually an NRA Board Member. Unfortunately, his daughter Debbie is a current Democrat Senator, and like most Democrat politicians, she doesn't respect our gun rights at all. Sadly, most gun owners know this, and some still continue to support and vote for the anti-gunners who work diligently to pass gun and ammunition bans and restrictions. And you never hear them say that they even try to urge their anti-gun Democrats to stop infringing on our rights. If these guys were on our side, they would be working to fire the anti-gunners... not re-elect them. They think it doesn't matter, but it matters a lot. They have seen the outcome both here, and in many other countries like Great Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, as anti-gunners keep chipping away until things get far worse for all gun owners than just having a few disgruntled guys who hate Trump. They don't care. And they want to silence any and all discussions about the damage they do, even though the evidence is all over the world. Some of them know that it might not be a good idea to stay in New York State, as mentioned earlier, because of the restrictive gun storage requirements. They know those laws were passed by anti-gun Democrats... but they still don't see any problem with supporting Democrats. It's crazy. So we have to ask ourselves if it is worse to perhaps alienate some guys who stab us all in the back by supporting anti-gunners? Or should we pretend they are on our side, and wait until we see a Thread here announcing that Haussmann's is being sued, or closed forever due to anti-gun Democrats enacting more restrictive laws. Then you will be forced to travel even farther to find such events... while you can... if you can... Google search the number of shooting ranges that have been forced to shut down due to the efforts of anti-gunners. Will the few extra dollars you make by embracing these fools help when the range is bankrupted by a lawsuit over lead contamination? Quite a few ranges have been forced to restrict shooters to expensive steel and non-lead ammo. Well, there goes your vintage side-by-side shotgun event, because the majority of the old guns weren't made for steel. Meanwhile, they also work to ban your semi-autos, and your handguns, and your large cap magazines, and your ammunition, and eventually your shotguns and hunting rifles. I say it's way past time for gun owners and shooters to stop falling for this Big Tent crap. It's a Big Lie, and accepting an enemy within has not made us stronger. It's as dumb as staying with a spouse that is cheating on you, or hiring Chinese spies to work in the Pentagon, or employing someone who is helping your competitors. The sooner we end this charade of embracing 2nd Amendment traitors, the better.
Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug

Keith, or Harry, Have either of you actually been in contact with the Hausmann’s with respect to who you think should be welcome at their shoot? and who should not be?
For the life of me I can’t imagine a single manager of a gun club anywhere in the country attempting to run a shoot (with hoped for international attendance), openly promoting it as the two of you are.
As I said previously, you were doing the Hausmann’s no great service.
I’ve not read a single thing in this entire thread that would make me want to bother to show up over there.
Maybe you should put more effort into saying things like, “Oh, their small bore course is fantastic!”, or, “Man, they have this really cool long range target set up that people with the old duck guns really enjoy”, you know, sell it. Try to get people interested in it.
I’m sure, if at a generic $300 a person out of pocket that the Hausmann‘s lose after reading stuff in this thread, the two of you are probably costing them a few thousand dollars in lost revenue just for site fees. And of course, the owner of RST who maintains a very large presence at that shoot is losing the cartridge orders that people make prior to the shoot, who then go there and pick them up, but because they know they’re really not welcome they won’t be going. Vendors losing gun sale revenue? Well, you know, sometimes people go to these events to actually buy stuff.
Perhaps Ernie can pop in and share his ideas on this.
