This is a French tradition, a classic Bouche de Noël (yule log) made by wife. The decorations, leaves, berries, mushrooms are made out of Marange and Marzipan. . the pine cones made with small slivers of almond. Inside is a rolled cake with chestnut chocolate icing between the rolls. This cannot be bought in a store and if it is, it's a pale imitation of the real thing. Christmas dinner is usually after midnight mass so ours was this evening. It was amazing!
