I am trying to confirm the rifle chamber in a pre-war German drilling recently acquired at auction and listed as 9.3x72R. The barrel is marked “8.7 mm 72” in the picture. I have made a chamber cast and the the bore diameter is measuring 9.29mm vs the bullet at 9.32mm. I want to confirm the shells are correct and don’t want to assume (I’m in no hurry to try it). Thanks for any input.
