Kids my son’s age are up in arms over new video game consoles that do not have a hard copy of the games they wish to purchase. The companies sell them a license to use the game. One fine day, the license quits working and you don’t have access to that game. The crafty devils have also eliminated ports on the console, or, if they are there, they are proprietary, and putting the wrong card in the console causes it to “brick”, or, to become a paperweight with zero functionality.

Some game companies took the whole “you will own nothing, and you will be happy” thing to the next level.
