Story, I doubt if I ever even recorded it. It was marked on the top of the receiver with Radom and 31 and had the bent, round knob bolt handle. Years ago, a fellow admired it and talked me out of it. I had had my fun with it and worked up a nice accurate load. I was always under the impression that they just had an assembly number for matching the bolt. Seems like I seldom hang on to a bolt action Mauser very long with two current exceptions. Actually they are both small ring ones from WWI that were reworked to sporters in Germany. One was done in 1943 in 9.3x57 for the Swedish trade and the other was made up post WWII in 30-06 for a Yank.
