Does anyone have any updated information on Larry's present state of health?

I've sent him a New Year's card. No reply yet. Wishing the best for him. We had a similar background and both speak French; when I first began to post here 10 years ago he was very helpful and encouraging. Gene

Let's hope he will be better. He has done so much for the hunting community with his dedication and contribution to the sport through his creativeness which is hard to match.

the Upland Journal link needs a sign in to see. Wishing Larry the best.... Larry is suffering from some form of dementia. His better half stated he seldom uses his computer anymore, not a huge surprise for someone in his condition. There are different forms of dementia, but, the ending is always another lost soul, sadly. I know Larry Brown, have shared a round or three of various shooting games with him, along with a couple of meals and adult drinks. A few of my unremarkable photos graced articles on French guns he penned over the years. Wouldn’t mind another round of any of the above, but, that looks like it is not to be. I’ll miss him. Best, Ted

Very sad to hear.
Thanks, Ted.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Thanks for the info. Very sad to hear. The Col and I served in some of the same units.
We had a lot of mutual friends in the Army. We had some nice conversations. Too bad, just too bad. I always enjoyed his articles and his sound advice.
Prayers sent for him and his family.
Stay well
Greg

Eric Koik once said, “Larry wanted to own every double in existence. With the same $5,000 dollars.”
I chuckle over that all the time.
Two well-known personalities soon to be meeting up in the great prairies of the beyond.
Out there doing it best I can.

Tough, tough news all the way around. It is most difficult to believe that even I have been reading threads on the board for almost 20 years. Now, most of the original members are all but gone. Someone use to start a roll call thread ever so often. I guess it would just be depressing now..... But time will get us all. Any idea just how old Col. Brown / Mr. Larry Brown might be?
Serbus,
