Has anyone here ever owned a M-S M1924 in 30-06? Some of them where imported into San Francisco by Sequoia Import Co.

Or might you know anything about them? I came across one today.

Mr. Harrell:

Have you researched your's at all? The M24 I looked at is in the serial range #800. Supposedly Sequoia ordered 1,000 of them to come into San Francisco, but the deal was suspended after only 500 were delivered (or 500 of the 1000 were sent back). Apparently Steyr then remarked as M25 and rebarreled some to European cartridges, but left some of these long actions in 30-06. Every part of this one is serialized to the rifle kinda like a Swiss watch, including the claw scope mount.

Thanks for whatever you might know about the model M24 or M25.
