How differently would a smoothbore SxS paradox gun pattern shot versus a regular SxS? I saw one listed in the Buckstix collection, and I'm curious? Thanks

Graeme Wright in “Shooting the British Double Rifle” ran some tests.

In summary he found that the H&H Paradox and Westley Richards Explora threw acceptable shot patterns (Improved Cylinder to 1/4) but the other systems - oval bore, invisible rifling, Colindian etc. did not.

What I meant to ask, but did not, were the patterns' point of impact regulated similar to those of a regular shotgun? Thanks for the reply, Parabola.

I never patterned my Cogs but have hunted quail with it and found it shot very well.

I am surprised that the oval bore didn't shoot well. Looking down the bore of a 450 BPE oval bore, the "rifling" is very subtle. I thought that the Colindian would shoot like a cylinder bore gun. But, I have never shot one.

This Turkey was very impressed with the patterns that a Fosberry choke throws.

Steve,
That is a very nice way to show how effective a Fosberry choke can be. Nice turkey...
