Actually I think you're both wrong, although I agree with both of you. What he is, is a troll, period. With some kind of personality disorder. He's already admitted it.
Apparently Dave has him on a short leash, so he can't be obnoxious and abrasive like he was before, so he has to be more creative. So you still get the edits and deletes, but now you get the goofy posts, dumb and ridiculous comments, the phony niceness and politeness, Kay Sarah Sarah.
He posts this stuff, people respond, and he sits and laughs about it. It's sad that someone is so pathetic, but, he is what he is.
