Now, now, now, Brent... at this asking price? NOT.
At all !
Carcano Whether that's a good price or not is hard to say. I would say it's on the high side, but I would not say it is egregiously, so. What do you think it's worth, and can you find a comparable for that price point?

I really like that gun and have had my eye on it for years.
Seller says the gun has 2 3/4" chambers. I wanted to know if they were opened up, so wanted to see the flats. Just wanted to know what I was getting into. He said doesn't supply additional photos and couldn't answer my question. Maybe he was having a bad day.
The gun only has 13 1/4" of wood, so I would need an extension or a spacer and pad to get the LOP to 14 3/4", so I am not hot on that. In addition, it has 1/4" cast off which is too much for my narrow face.
At the time, he wasn't willing to come down on price. I do see you can now make an offer, so he must be willing to deal now. His asking price hasn't changed in 4 years. He also has the gun listed on Guns international.
Lovely gun, just not ideal gun for me and didn't want to take a chance for what he's asking for it. Maybe it will work for someone here.

āDoesnāt supply additional photos, and couldnāt answer my questionsā. In other words, the seller is a crook. You have attempted to get an answer to a question, as instructed by the terms of the add on Gunbroker and he has refused to provide the answer. Not a single mention as to condition of the bores (might be the most important question for any gun off the continent). You are a nicer guy than me, Dave. I already know what your wife thinks of the checkering on that one. Tired recoil pad on too short for anybody but a kid wood. Tired stock finish. Tired checkering, with what appears to be some really inexpert workmanship, the border resembles the Marianas trench in depth compared to the beat up diamonds. Just a fast look and I found this one. https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...auge-great-handling.cfm?gun_id=102965683Not French. But, chopper lump barrels of some of the best steel to ever make it into a gun. Normal measurements on the stock, no questions asked to what you can feed it, decent dealer. $600 less outlay. Better condition all the way around. There was a time when European box lock guns in that condition brought $2K, with another $1500 expected for maintenance. But, that timeline ended roughly with the death of Michael McIntosh. That market is gone, just as he is. A few dealers still think it is circa 2001. To me, a box lock ejector is pretty much a tool. I just want it to fit, go bang, and not need a bunch of expensive work when I need it to work. Ejectors donāt answer any questions that I ask in my world, but, I get it, guys like to have them. There you go. I donāt consider this French gun to be desirable, to be a good deal, or the dealer to be forthcoming and honest. I wouldnāt attempt to buy it if it fit, and, it doesnāt fit anybody I know. Best, Ted

Russ Gould. Aka doublegunHQ aka Whitworth arms. At one time, he was pretty active in the community. He even wrote articles for a couple of different rags. He used to be on this site years ago. He ended up getting chased outta here like Shrek, with pitchforks and torches. Heās an odd guy, seems angry, possibly even socially retarded. Its hard to believe heās still in business after all these years. He NEVER lowers his prices and heās literally had the same guns on sale for years, sometimes decades. This gun has been for sale for probably 20 years. https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...us-slne-12-ga-cased.cfm?gun_id=103240411This one at least 15 years https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...ga-grade-10-ejector.cfm?gun_id=103241607He does have an amazingly diverse selection of inventory, Iāll give him that.
