Has anyone here handles one, shot one or bought one? I would like some honest fact based insight on this shotgun?
Fit, finish. handling? Balance? quality vs dollars? trigger pulls?
are the internals the same as the Inverness or is this a completely different design? If so what is it based on?

I preordered an Inverness when they first offered it. I went with exhibition wood. It fit me and I shoot it gangbusters right out of the box. I think it is extremely attractive but then I am a wood guy. I would buy it again. As far as longevity, I mostly shoot SxS's so it does not really have that many rounds shot. I have not seen the plainer version in person. I have been very happy with CSMC with several purchases and their after market care has been outstanding. Maybe I have been lucky with them but they have been very responsive with the few problems I have experienced.
So many guns, so little time!

Milt, We don’t hear that very often. Glad your experience was good.
Best, Ted

I was recently able to get a look at the re-introduced Ruger Red Label, which is being produced by CSMC on I believe, this same platform (Revelation).
It wasn't my cup of tea. Just a production level O/U. The wood was rather plain, and the gun overall was nothing special. For the money you could probably find a higher-grade Beretta Silver Pigeon or Browning.

I wouldn’t buy a bucket of water from Con Shotgun if I was on fire.

I have never bought a gun from them, but I have bought parts and supplies from them to do minor repairs. Which I always found to be excellent. I have an order in right now from them which I am waiting on. So it should be here soon.

I, or should I say my lovely wife, owns an over the top Inverness. It is a wonderful handling gun, but I have to admit that I haven't shot it much. It has all the outer characteristics of a David McKay Brown. It is slim, light, and beautiful. It was a gift from Tony to my wife for what she considered a minor favor. It was way more than we expected. I am a straight grip bird gun kind of guy, but the Woodward grip on the Inverness has almost converted me. I would like to have a Revelation, but only at an introductory price, whose ship has sailed.

I have shot several Revelations and found them quite adequate. Metal to metal fit, as well as wood to metal, was excellent. No over runs on checkering. Balance very slightly forward of the joint. Trigger pulls seemed slightly heavy, but I didn’t measure them. Choke tubes were concentric. At a 3K price there are really good competitive guns that may offer greater affordability. I have not handled the new Ruger Red Label lll yet so can’t speak of it, but I’ve seen prices of $2600 for it online. I hope this helps.

I've handled more then a few of them. Last year at the Southern they had some 28 gauge with 30" barrels with straight stocks and they looked and felt great. Their case colors are outstanding and the one's I looked at had the upgraded wood and they were fantastic. Some had American Walnut and some had English. I don't recall the price, but they felt lively and swung well. They are a tad proud of the frame, but the checkering was fine. Bottom line is they passed the eyeball test to me. I think the upgraded walnut was about $500 and well worth it at least to me..
