I preordered an Inverness when they first offered it. I went with exhibition wood. It fit me and I shoot it gangbusters right out of the box. I think it is extremely attractive but then I am a wood guy. I would buy it again. As far as longevity, I mostly shoot SxS's so it does not really have that many rounds shot. I have not seen the plainer version in person. I have been very happy with CSMC with several purchases and their after market care has been outstanding. Maybe I have been lucky with them but they have been very responsive with the few problems I have experienced.
