I just read in our gun club newsletter that Phil Schreier passed December 29th. I remember seeing him on the gun shows on TV showing rare collectibles. He was always wearing white gloves when he handled the guns. He was the director of the NRA Museums. And he was always a great addition to the gun world. I am sorry to hear of his passing. God Bless.[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

Very sorry to hear that. I used to visit the NRA Museum in Fairfax, VA, when I lived there. It is very impressive. Serving as the director there would be no small task. May Phil rest in peace.

I had only known him for the past few years but chatted with him a handful of times at American Society of Arms Collectors shows. I picked his brain a bit while I was starting my museum. He was always more than willing to give an opinion or two and seemed very genuine and selfless.
