Well things have been going my way of late so I thought I would update. The gentleman I mentioned from New Zealand's handle is Sarg, and Mark has been way more then helpful. Today I received a package from him that contained the much needed Lee-Enfield dust cover and also 2 near mint boxes (empty of the rounds as those could not be shipped) Kynoch MK VI Red Yellow 303 British one of solids and the other of soft points. Plus a third box of CAC (The Colonial Ammunition Company) Soft Nosed Mark VI ammo. This box is interest in that on the side it says "For Red Deer Cattle and Pig Shooting". Seems to me they could have added Lions but maybe they didn't know the story. LOL
Anyway with regards to the LE rifle I am meeting a friend this weekend who has an action wrench for the LE and I will then pull the barrel and off it will go to be rebored to 35 caliber. I have decided not to build a side mount peep sight as I could not come up with a design that did not look like a wart hanging off the side.
