I did buy the stuff awhile ago. I like doing the repairs myself whenever possible. The issue I have is getting my hand into the small areas of the neck to sew new supports for the straps. no room and you need it to push the needle through the thick leather. Hopefully the cobbler currently working on my test leg-o-mutton, can solve the problem?
I do have a tack shop for all my leather needs, they are not interested in repairing though!
