Sorry guys, but you can't separate politics from guns. Ask anyone who lives in the formerly great state of California about their latest law. Among other things being left out of the current debates in the States are where the candidates stand on such issues as guns, hunting, animal rights, etc. Seems to me those issues are certainly fair game here, because they are "related material" in the gun world.
As for political issues not directly related to guns and hunting . . . I've never been in favor of censorship other than for the lewd and the obscene. If something "OT" comes up that's political but not gun-related and you don't want to discuss it . . . don't participate. If no one rises to the bait, such posts will simply wither away.
