even though I did work the summer of '53 on snake patrol above stream of my dad's dredge boat working in the altamaha river; pumping up the approaches to a new bridge for us route 301 to span the river...one of my favorite jobs...got paid for each dead snake, plus ammo allowance...
long way and time from 1953 in so ga to 2026 in so NH...
went back there about 10 years ago...
bridge is still there...
swamp is still there...
as is the river...
dent see no snakes...
