Now, the 1st German Table I have viewed is noted as having 5(Five) Re-Enforced Proof Loads knows as >>Express<< Loads for >>Express Rifled Barrels<<. Contained herein:
Gauge - 51.05 Bore Diameter - 0.449" - 1st Proof Load 361.1 Grains of Powder with 574.1 Grain Bullet - German Table
Bore Diameter - 0.450' - Powder T.P. - 212 Grains & Bullet weight of 706 Grains(Blanket across many) - British Scale
But this many not be comparing Apples to Apples across Time.
A later German Table that adds 0.360" to the German Express Table:
Bore - 99.7 - Bore Diameter - 9,14mm(0.360") - 9,75 Grammes Powder - 11.2 Gramme Bullet - German Table
Bore Diameter - 0.360" - 100 Grains T.P. Powder & 247 Grain Bullet - British Scale 3 - 1904
Now the British Scale gives a blanket effort from 0.310" to 0.360"
So, Maybe the Germans didn't exactly copy the Brits, I don't know.....
Hochachtungsvoll,
Raimey
