Thanks Ken & I assume that's overall production? Any idea how Suhl/Georg-H.A. Lindner sourced examples would compare?

THOS. L. GOLCHER. MAKER No. 116 W. GIRARD AVE. PHILADELPHIA PA

This example was reminded me this week. Nr. 1161 with encircled H. KLT for a Klett, either Hans Hermann Klett, Heinrich Klett, etc.

Not sure why Golcher applied his name. I'd say to infer he played some part & that it passed thru his shop. It was made on the backs of the talented mechanics in Suhl. Only thing that makes me pause is the adornment @ the end of the forend wood, typically British fare.

Kind Regards,

No mention of where the Girard Street stamp for Golcher is seen. No pictures of the rib. All of my Thomas Golcher guns have the name and address on the rib. Does this one have a rib marking for Golcher? My Golcher guns are #1741, 2887, 2707, and 1664, and all have Lindner marks on the barrel flats. I assume all these numbers are Lindner numbers.

Some times has passed and I believe the auction was in 2013, but from memory the top rib read: >>THOS. L. GOLCHER. MAKER No. 116 W. GIRARD AVE. PHILADELPHIA PA<<

And I am led to believe the same is atop the Musket below:

Interesting Musket adorned w/ a Serpent and what looks to be London proofs....

I guess I was mistaken. I didn't realize that T.L. Golcher worked in the muzzleloading era. However, I don't see, in the forum text, that the Girard Street address or Golcher's first name was stamped on the gun. They do mention that T.L. Golcher was born in 1842, so I guess he did work on muzzleloaders.
