Joe, funny you mention about the right barrel caring about the shell. With my 16 ga, I had fed if everything, including now Gamebore black powder shells, without a hitch. That is, until I bought four flats of Fiocchi. The right barrel will not consistently fire Fiocchi shells. No idea why. How did your friend fix yours?
Btw, your three-barrel set sounds like a dream. That is one to treasure and enjoy.
Happy shooting.
Joe

For OP, it may or may not be with the $5k. It’s very difficult to tell without photos. A new Poli, imported today by Kevin’s will run at least $11K. But, if you get lucky you can find a used one in the $3-4K range. Again, depends on exactly which Poli is for sale.

I offer an update to the old thread on Poli shotguns.
I looked back at my old post and mentioned the guns I knew of.
I am happy to update that I bought the 20 gauge 2 bbl set. I was present in 2003 when it was ordered at a Southern SxS.
A few years of waiting for our bespoke Polis, the 20 arrived first. I got a phone call from Tom Bryant, telling me the first Poli had arrived to Carolina Sporting in Charlotte and should hurry over to see it. I saw it once before the original owner picked it up. The next time I was picking it up 12 years later. The condition is exactly what I remember.
The 24, 32 2 gauge gun on the 20 gauge frame sold. I believe it is the Charlotte area. I don't need it, but it's out there.
I was thinking of selling the Clays gun. I took it to Rich Cole who was displaying at a big NSCA shoot at Backwoods Quail Club.
Rich said my gun was one of 8. Rich said he specifically asked for heavier wood, non-automatic safety, pistol grips with palm swell. 2 of guns were, Deluxe with ejectors and highly engraved. The guns were send to Briley for Beretta short choke installation. I have seen one of the Deluxe guns. It was very nice.

I had a Poli HIgh Grade hammer gun. 20 ga. Top tang safety. Single trigger. Heel and toe clips. Stunning gun. Fantastic wood. Sold it to one of my friends in our sbs club. No issues. Finely made.

I just found a few picts on my phone. Its one of guns you thought you needed and after having it for many years and never shot it, let it go.

I remember seeing a Poli 32ga at Carolina Sporting. Must have been more than a few years back. Seem to recall it was out of an estate. Beautiful gun and reasonably priced for the quality, both of which were higher than I could afford that day. Picked up a somewhat strange William Ford that had been a chamberless 12 that had been rechambered to 10.
