Few people would argue that Iran's leaders don't deserve the treatment they're getting. Critical comments about the conduct of the war are attacked here as if they offer support for Iran. Trump launched a war without adequate planning. He has alienated our allies and wonders why they aren't jumping in. Read the column by Chuck Hagel and Leon Panetta in today's NYT. Read recent columns by Thomas Freidman. These are loyal Americans with career experience in warfare and the Middle East. I truly hope Trump succeeds here. However, I greatly fear he is far in over his head and may end up doing untold damage world wide.
This Trump Trope is remarkably common among those with TDS. "Trump is in over his head". As though he is consistently incompetent. As though he has no clue.
Yet his track record is one of incredible success in implementing his mandate. The reality Bill, is you think he's in over his head because you disagree with his mandate, his plans and his actions, not that he has demonstrated some consistent level of incompetence.
