I have fine memories of seeing Gregg Allman play in Macon...Rock N Rolling royalty on his home turf, great stuff! I would like to visit the Big House Museum some day.

Let's just put it this way. In Northern Florida and Baldwin County. Alabama, Macon rhymes with Bacon. And I was at the Atlanta pop Festival in July 1970, first big one after Woodstock, and heard Jimmy Hendrix play "Star Spangled Banner" at Midnight. . . The Allman Brothers were still a back-up band. I drove over from Tuscaloosa in a Volkswagen van. It had a .357 magnum under the seat and no flowers on the door. The MaryJane smoke was heavy but there is no such thing as a contact high and I had to take a polygraph on that.
