And a fun time is had by all. I don't think I have missed one of Ernie's shoots in a dozen years. The shooting is fun and challenging and there are several courses all in the woods or over a lake tailored to the gauge you are shooting or competing in. The lunch wagon is great. The tent is large and the guns for sale number in the many, many hundreds. There usually is also a display from Parker, Fox, LeFever and LC Smith. Walking through the tent is an experience and stopping by the displays and tables and talking with old friends and new ones could easily take up the major part of a day. Camaraderie with fellow shooters is high on my list and probably one of the reasons I go. Hanging out in the evening with friends, whether you camp in the grass parking area (huge) or outside on the grounds of the hotel you are staying often includes cigars and alcohol and if you forgot there usually is plenty available to share. G-d be willing, I will be there. Look for my name tag and say hello.
