It seems this latest "Sky is falling" hysteria was summed up very well in the first paragraph of the article you linked:
"When not burning tons of carbon jetting the 5,000 miles between his mansion in Los Angeles and his luxury estate in Ireland, Hollywood’s Adam McKay gets off spreading fear porn about the imminent death of the world’s food supply"
Then it goes on to note this Climate Chicken Little has a 0-54 record in his predictions... about as accurate as Al Gore. I'll betcha he votes solid Democrat.
That prediction will no doubt put guys like DimmyW into a total tizzy, I'd be more concerned about another Carrington Event, a 6 mile diameter asteroid impact, or a cracked Ithaca Flues frame than some weather disturbance that would most likely tend to disrupt itself before it caused a massive existential global crop failure.
