Very nice! I always thought the Hart Arms offerings are under rated in the market.
They made some very nice rifles. I believe John DuBiel (sp?) was a stocker for them.
Thanks for the posting!

Looking at the cheekpiece/grip area, could that be a Harvey Rodgers stock?

Some neat details on that rifle. Thank you for sharing this. BTW, I'm surprised the seller was able to get a buyer, given their F rating for their only transaction on GB.

It is indeed a Rodgers stock. And has to be one of very few that were made on a model 70 while he was with Hart in Cleveland. I don't think we know exactly when he left Hart and went to New Mexico, but it had to be shortly after the model 70 was introduced. The sellers rating concerned me as well. Hope someone on here got it. Nice rifle, his work is so hard to find.

John

Looks like it was relisted then ended with no bids?

I think this is an interesting discussion. These kinds of questions always bring out a lot of experience that people have. It is great to see people sharing what they think especially when it comes to doubles. Older doubles are special because they have their history and quirks. The condition of doubles matters too.

I think you are doing a job of looking into things before you make a decision. That is always an idea. This will help people who are looking at older doubles.

I think more likely it was accidently relisted and then the listing was cancelled. I hope there will be feedback left to see whether the transaction
was completed successfully.
