I am delighted to see this thread resurrected by a Smallwood descendant. And I must apologize to Salopian, as I promised to send him pix of my ten years ago and never did. Please let me know if you are still interested.

In the meantime, I have come into a third Smallwood, an 8 bore with 4" chambers and 2 3/4 oz, 8 drams on the water table. It is a thumper with that load, but no worse than the .470 I shoot regularly.

I have been looking for a hammer 12 to round out my little collection of Smallwoods.

Hi, I know this is a post from a while ago but I am a Smallwood, but I can’t find a link to Samuel.
I have purchased a Sam Smallwood 12 bore SbS with Damascus barrels, the production number is 950. Any information you, or anyone can supply any information I’d be obliged. S Smallwood.

I'm on my annual turkey hunting excursion in northern California and for first time in years I'm not carrying my Smallwood ten bore hammergun. My Tolley 12 bore is getting some exercise instead, but I feel like I'm cheating on the Smallwood.
