Gun Stock Blanks; I have a number of shotgun stock blanks. I use to send then to Arrieta in Spain but of course they are closed. I see on Ebay their are so many listed and no bids or just so low it does not make sense. For the figure in the wood to show up I would have to spray water on them or varnish them. Seems like a lot of work for not much money. From the ebay prices it looks like not much happening. I know I will take a hit. Oh well.
Spoke to two stock makers and they are not in need of any. Any ideas?
Maybe call up one of the gunsmithing schools and see if they would use them.

John,
I am currently looking for a blank for a Singer style single shot rifle I will be building. The style is somewhat unusual and need a minimum of 2.5 inch thickness. If you are willing to take a picture of a group of your blanks that thickness, or more, I may be interested in at least one. I can get you my email address. I am looking for nice figure with dark mineral streaking.

John, If you dont mind I would like to see some pictures as well. At least 19" long, enough for a pistol grip stock with some latitude to adjust comb height at the nose and heel. Thank you. I will PM my email address.

It can be a shorter one, 14-15 inches, as long as there are no defects on the ends. The tougher question is width, 7 inches but that needs to carry forward much of the way. It has a high cheek rest, and lots of drop, so the classic tapered blank makes it tougher.

I am pretty sure I have sent pictures to all that have asked. If not let me know.
I think the prices I quoted are very fair as I am taking a lost from what I paid 25-30 years ago.
But if you see something that you like and serious, lets talk and see what we can come up with.
All the blanks are seasoned and ready. No wet ones that you have to wait years to use!
