October 26-30 spot got reserved today.


Final single opening is October 16-20 which is the Nonresident opener.


I saw some small chicks today in the grass when I was rolling up electric fence wire. Hens were calling in the soy beans. Plenty of bugs around for the young birds even though it’s dry conditions.

We got a half inch of rain a few days ago and another quarter inch two nights ago. Crops are really looking quite good. Beans are thick and flowering while the corn is over my head sprouting ears.

Weather service is predicting 1.25” Thursday with 2” at my home. Fingers crossed.

Guys are getting ready for good days in the field and hanging out at my house!

I’m installing some new stuff in the house that I’m excited about. I know the guys will like them also smile

Good to hear that you are seeing young birds Bobby. I made a quick trip up to SD a few weeks ago, while dry, it seemed down right lush compared to CO this year. I'm looking forward to the fall and putting in some miles over my dogs.
