On another gun site a fellow asked a question. Would you ''Buy'' a ''Chinese'' made copy of a Parker Reproduction Shotgun ? Well would you ? Or just maybe We already have some Chinese copy's of them and Don't know it. I am sure you guys know about the ''Fake'' Chinese Clones of Leupold Scopes. Their so good looking that it takes a expert to tell them apart. Could this be the reason for some Parker Repro's coming apart at the seams ?

Where can one find information concerning fake Chinese made Parker shotguns? I did a google search and was unable to turn up any sites that address this issue.
thanks

The only Chinese copies of guns I know about for sure are Norinco clones of the Ithaca model 37 and Browning SA .22 rifle. Calling them junk might not be too strong a word. Inconsistent wouldn’t be wrong, either.
That said, the weekend is almost here. Perhaps you should knock back a strong drink (or two) to help you get your mind off the Parker reproductions that seem to trouble you so greatly?
Just a suggestion.
Best, Ted

I have a Chinese copy of the Walther TT Olympia pistol and it is the most accurate 22 pistol I've owned and less than $160 to boot. They are not all bad.

The fellow that asked the question dirty harry alluded to was me. But, he took it out of context. No Chinese copies of Parkers exist, that I am aware of.
My question was in response to a fellow who had bought a Chinese gun case that he thought was the cat's meow (my opinion). I commented that he must be okay with helping fund the ChiComs, by buying Chinese goods. Then, I asked if anybody would be interested in buying a Chinese copy of a Parker, since they seemed to be enamored with the Chinese copy of an English gun case.
No one ever implied that Chinese copies of Parkers exist. The ChiComs are too successful making copies of things that will sell a bunch to mess with copying a Parker.
Harry was banned from posting on the Parker site and badmouths them constantly, yet he goes on there and reads stuff to post about here. Boys and girls, can we spell "disingenuous"?
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Best, Ted I ''Never '' nor the guy who asked the question, would you buy a Parker repro. if it was made in China, said they were or are made in China. You guys should read more carefully the tread, as to what it pertains. Dirty Harry P.S. Leupold Scopes - Yes, are Cloned in China. Parker Repros - Cloned in China ???? I don't think so, ''But'', and Parker Repros do not trouble Me, I used to think they were the 2nd, best Double made in the Last 50 years, but not anymore.

We can be pretty certain that there are no Chinese knock-off Parker reproductions because when the Chinese make knock-offs, they make a lot of them. And so far, we have seen photographic evidence of exactly ONE Patker repro that has a separated barrel lug.
That tells me some Parker barrel assembly guy in Japan had a bad day roughly 40 years ago.
If there were a lot more, and if this was anything close to a common or widespread problem, we'd be seeing photos of multiple guns with different serial numbers all over the internet.
No matter how good you think Parker repro collectors are at suppressing the evidence of this alleged problem... they aren't that good. But I gotta go because I think I see the ocean rising and the sky falling..

There are few here on this board who willingly buy anything made in China. One dude has a few far eastern Wal Mart grade tools on his bench, but, he is the exception. Guns, made there? Good luck with that.
Opinions are like belly buttons, everybody has one, but, claiming any US double gun as best or second best seems to belie ignorance of the term best. Good to see your progress, at any rate.
The two drinks thing might still be a worthwhile endeavor.
Best, Ted
