I agree that insane Trade Policies and the quest for cheap labor has led us to a point where it can be difficult or sometimes impossible to buy certain products that are not made partially or totally in China.

Donald Trump isn't the only one to notice the absurdity of this situation, especially with an economic adversary such as Communist China that is openly and aggressively working to build a military that is competitive with ours. Trump also has noted the ridiculousness of actually being dependent upon such an adversary for critical military needs such as rare earth minerals and semiconductor chips. We even depend on China for military and civilian needs such as pharmaceuticals and antibiotics, which presumably would suddenly become unattainable if they ever attacked or engaged us militarily.

It doesn't take a genius to see the effect our addiction to Cheap Chinese Goods has had on wages and employment here. Then there's the overt theft of intellectual property, and the huge business losses due to Chinese knock-offs... the topic of this thread.

So Donald Trump is actually trying to bring some manufacturing back to the U.S., to make us less dependent upon China, and to improve employment opportunities here. Meanwhile, we have fools like DimmyW who are here to make excuses for the status quo, and to support a China that opposes us militarily and even supplies weapons to other countries like Iran that are used against our soldiers and sailors. These same Liberal Left lunatics that make excuses for dealing with China also always criticize the same big corporations that enter into these joint ventures as greedy, selfish, and corrupt. They want them to pay massive taxes, even though those taxes would simply be passed on to the consumer.

I think it probably comes from being repeatedly dropped on your cranial soft spot as an infant.

Do you think I really care what people think, dirty? I don't hide behind aliases, unlike you.

May God bless America and those who defend her.
