I agree that insane Trade Policies and the quest for cheap labor has led us to a point where it can be difficult or sometimes impossible to buy certain products that are not made partially or totally in China.

Donald Trump isn't the only one to notice the absurdity of this situation, especially with an economic adversary such as Communist China that is openly and aggressively working to build a military that is competitive with ours. Trump also has noted the ridiculousness of actually being dependent upon such an adversary for critical military needs such as rare earth minerals and semiconductor chips. We even depend on China for military and civilian needs such as pharmaceuticals and antibiotics, which presumably would suddenly become unattainable if they ever attacked or engaged us militarily.

It doesn't take a genius to see the effect our addiction to Cheap Chinese Goods has had on wages and employment here. Then there's the overt theft of intellectual property, and the huge business losses due to Chinese knock-offs... the topic of this thread.

So Donald Trump is actually trying to bring some manufacturing back to the U.S., to make us less dependent upon China, and to improve employment opportunities here. Meanwhile, we have fools like DimmyW who are here to make excuses for the status quo, and to support a China that opposes us militarily and even supplies weapons to other countries like Iran that are used against our soldiers and sailors. These same Liberal Left lunatics that make excuses for dealing with China also always criticize the same big corporations that enter into these joint ventures as greedy, selfish, and corrupt. They want them to pay massive taxes, even though those taxes would simply be passed on to the consumer.

I think it probably comes from being repeatedly dropped on your cranial soft spot as an infant.

Do you think I really care what people think, dirty? I don't hide behind aliases, unlike you.

May God bless America and those who defend her.

China is not a partner, not a competitor, and certainly not a friend or ally. Like all Communist governments, they are evil. Make no mistake, China wants to be the dominant power in the world.

We are the major obstruction to that goal.

They have spies, agents, and operatives all over our country. They are in our colleges and universities, public school systems, labor unions, law enforcement, hospitals and research centers, churches, they have them serving in the staffs of elected officials, and who knows, we may even have them in actual elected office.

They flood our social media platforms like Facebook with both misinformation and disinformation (there is a difference) in order to keep us angry, divided, and lose faith in our country and government. They also fund many of the protests and violence that occur, most recently the nonsense going on at the ICE detention facility in New Jersey.

Our enemies, be it China, Russia, Iran, Communists/Marxists/Socialists by whatever stripe they claim both foreign and domestic work daily to destroy our country. They have promised to do so from within and sadly are rapidly achieving that goal. Look at every recent election in this country, at the local, State, and National level. They gain an addition each time. We have Socialist Mayors in Boston, Buffalo, NYC, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, to name a few, and will soon have them in Los Angeles and even Washington, D.C. New Jersey will most likely elect an Al-Qaeda sympathizer to Congress in November, who will join the handful of terrorist sympathizers already there. Maine has a very good chance of stupidly sending a totally unhinged lunatic to the Senate and has openly stated that he is a Communist.

And to be sure, there is no such thing as "Democratic Socialism." It is a cleverly crafted cover because historically, they couldn't say they were a Communist or Marxist. Now they can and some even do.

It's all by design folks. They are also using Islam as an ally, failing to realize that Islam sees them as an enemy as much as Western culture. Making copies of firearms such as the Model 37, 1911A1, and Winchester model 97s is the least of our worries.

And spare me the differences between those ideologies, they are all one and the same, enemies of our country, heritage, and way of life.

I have one that I got cheap, it's a decent enough gun for it's purpose and you won't get all upset when it picks up the scratches, dings and other cosmetic damage that comes with shooting cowboy.
I remember when that happened. People started believing that all of the 1897s would end up with their barrels cut short from cowboy shooting and if people started putting them back there wouldn't be any available. Fortunately that didn't happen. Now you see quite a few of them.
