SKB, I need an inleted blank for my 1898 transitional 7x57 Rigby, would it move the schedule up if you have an order for two blanks at the same time? Mike

I have a bunch of work to complete before Sept. 1st, then I revert to being a upland bum chasing bird dogs across the prairie and my time in the shop until the season ends is somewhat limited. The focus returns to shop work on Feb the 1st. Steve

Sure it can, use release agent on the metal, mix up some bondo or epoxy and fill those voids. Thats how they do it in the NFL…

Thats how they do it in the NFL… I've glass-bedded plenty of difficult stocks but it's a lot of work (the inletting is a major mess) just to make a pattern, especially since I intend this to be a budget restoration. An intermediate length small ring Mauser like this early Rigby can drop into a Swedish Mauser 96 stock with only minor alterations...and there are Swede 96 sporters with good walnut stocks very similar to the early Rigby stock all over the place these days...at least here In Canada...so that's probably the route I'll take for starters.

I would gladly buy that stock from you to use as a pattern for a 275 Rigby project I have.
