The family and I went to the VA250 celebration at Williamsburg. I commented to my wife about the insane # of custom (semi-custom?) t-shirts in the crowd. The internet and technology for such things did not exist in the world I grew up in. Remember going to the beach and seeing the stores that could make you a "custom" t-shirt right there on the spot? That was as big as It got and even that was 40-50 canned designs.... (nothing like Bart Simpson and Rosanne Barr jokes!)
There were hundreds of 250 or 1776, some 3,4,5 shirt collages being worn by groups or families... pretty wild really. That doesn't cover the people who went bigger than T-Shirts - flag or festive overalls, capes, dresses, period garb etc... a nice event. But anyway back to the t-shirts my favorite: "The British blew a 13 colony lead"
