Geoff, I made the statement initially and made the point I, I, was trying to make. My point, my example. If I look foolish by measuring where I did, so be it.

But . . . . if the breech balls are closer together that means there is less metal between them. And, the breech ends of the barrels are closer together, creating a slimmer breech overall

If you want to make a point by measuring differently, do so. I've got no problem with comparison measuring any part of a gun you'd like.
