A.I. pretty much simply regurgitates what is already out there on the internet and stored in search engine servers. A more efficient form of "Garbage in--- Garbage out".

And the part that will most likely be particularly attractive to you is that when A.I. cannot find an answer, it often simply makes shit up. It sometimes tells us lies without reservation or remorse.

Just think of how much time it will save you when it gets better at bloviating! You will have more time to hunt grouse in Scotland without leaving Michigan...

A remarkably inaccurate summary.

You clearly haven't used AI much.

I haven't used it as much as researchers like Steve Nash or AaronN, but more than enough to know it is far from infallible, and certainly will regurgitate information it finds whether it is accurate or not. I've demonstrated that right here over the last couple days in a simple on-topic query concerning frame cracking in Ithaca Flues shotguns. A.I. also recently provided wrong information on a problem with my truck, and a Husqvarna garden tractor transmission. You can refute that, or the notion that A.I. will actually make up shit when it can't find a seemingly good answer. You can refute the fact that A.I. won't acknowledge merely fabricating false answers when it is caught doing so. But you would be wrong.

On the other hand, I read a ChatGPT generated legal letter to a City Solicitor that was very well worded, and would potentially take work from a paralegal.

We haven't even touched on the hordes of college students who have been caught using A.I. to do their assigned work and thinking, and the danger of further dumbing down independent thought. We're already seeing false A.I. generated material being used to reshape politics, and have seen for example, retarded people who can't tell if an A.I. generated photo of Trump with 6 fingers and a missing leg is real or not. An A.I. platform that eventually corrects errors like that isn't necessarily a better thing. I've spent years working in and profiting from Automation, and am hardly a Luddite.

I'm not surprised that you would be impressed and enthralled with something that has been proven to be defective. Nothing new from you Joff, but I guess A.I. is better than nothing for people with an intelligence deficit:

See if you can keep your reply under 1,000 words, Larry, and avoid insults, name calling and invective.

Geez TransGomer Joff, can't you even manage to use the QUOTE function correctly?

You made it look like that QUOTE about the NRA was attributed to me. Was that just the usual stupidity, or was it an attempt to be deceptive?

It's interesting to see Closet Democrats and FUDD's denigrating the NRA and carrying water for the anti-gun Democrats who attempt to destroy it. Even more interesting that Closet Democrats like you would never dream of mentioning the vast corruption by Democrats that has cost taxpayers upwards of Trillions of dollars.

Here's your QUOTE again, done correctly. I'm glad you are so proud of it, because it serves to show that the so-called "Big-Tent" where all gun owners are said to be stronger by sticking together is nothing but a "Big Lie"

Having gun owners like you in some "Big Tent" is as stupid as using tax dollars to pay pedophiles to run a Somali Day Care Center.

I already shared it TransGomerJoff, can't you understand anything? Steve Nash posted his experiences with A.I. only days ago. AaronN, who has done extensive research on Pinfire guns, recently shared pretty much the same views, and you can go back and read his recent Posts.

The extremely incorrect information I got concerning the correct axle code for my truck popped up in a Google A.I. search because recently, most Google searches seem to default to A.I. It only cost me several additional hours of work when I replaced my rear axle and bearing.

Google A.I. also incorrectly informed me that a Husqvarna garden tractor transmission was hydrostatic, and barely moving in reverse because it was low on fluid. I went to several of the sources it quoted, and they advised things like drilling a hole in the sealed transmission to add fluid, and even what type of oil to use. I almost made the mistake of taking that advice, but dug further on another search engine. Turns out that it isn't hydrostatic at all, but a torque converter coupled to a sealed grease filled transaxle. The problem was fine grass clippings and dirt jammed under the torque converter.

The ChatGPT legal letter I recently read was done very well, as I said. I don't have access to it because it wasn't mine, and was sent to a City Solicitor. It certainly did not use the incorrect form of the word "you're" as you did in your first sentence. And less than 12 hours after you lectured Stan on contractions and correct use of an apostrophe. I love seeing a know-it-all step on his own tongue.

It isn't hard to find accounts of college kids using A.I. to write term papers and do other assignments. Same for A.I. generated photos being used to falsely influence politics... unless you have your head in the sand or some other dark orifice.

Before you ask for a reply free of "insults, name calling, and invective", I'd suggest you go back and read the nasty things you've said to and about me here. Then you can just ESAD... you can do an A.I. search for the internet slang definition!

Sorry you can't digest or comprehend a longer Post. You can use A.I. to count my words to see if this exceeds 1000 words. But really, just about any reply anyone makes will challenge you. Best you stick to your Fisher-Price alphabet blocks or See-and-Say toy.

You didn't have to post that twice in one day to get your point across, but it's still accurate!

Falsely Manufacturing QUOTES like that is pretty clever TransGomer Joff. But you're stupid enough to actually think the same thing couldn't be done to you.

News Flash Joff... you aren't the first Liberal Left dimwit who tried that. Little wonder that you are enamored with A.I. that presents misinformation and even has learned to tell lies.

We could have a great time creating lies and Posting false Quotes to discredit each other Joff. We could swirl this place down the toilet so fast that the porcelain would wash off the bowl.

Actually Joff, it just adds even more proof that you are simply another Closet Democrat Troll who has an agenda of supporting anti-gun Democrats, and the gun owners who are foolish enough to vote for them.

We see that in your own words, and in who you have chosen to "Like" and dislike here. I got you to quickly reveal that, and also got you to reveal your disdain for the NRA.

Talk about a brainless little fish taking the bait... you make 47 year old DimmyW look like a genius.

Right now, as I type this, TransGomer Joff is busy "Notifying a Moderator" just after he read my reply above. Dave Weber was online at the same time, logged into the same Thread right after he Posted it.

Imagine that folks... we have a Troll who has dishonestly falsified a QUOTE... attributed it to me... and is using it as his new signature line. And then he has the gall to actually cry about my response to Dave.

This guy is a real piece of work... a Troll for the ages!
