Tough to find brass, easy to make from 500-416 though. I have been looking for some RCBS dies for years with no luck, CH4D has finally made a run of them but I'm not sure if they have any left in stock.

I have 20 cases formed from BELL 500x3", which I believe are new. You will have to headspace off the shoulder, because of the thinner rim.
I'll shoot you a PM.
The dies are hard to find. I had a set on order with CH4D last year, but was fortunate enough to score a set off eBay early this year.
Like Steve, I had been looking for years.

I have used piano wire rings to get the headspace correct. using thin rim brass.
I believe Bertram has a run of these cases. You could check with their USA distributor. Cost is about 2x what it had been but you get thick rim brass. My recommendation is to anneal the cases you get. It isn't fun to have splits in very expensive cases fired under moderate loads.
I foolishly sold a nice set of dies and then bought a nice WR DR in 50/450 #1. It took several years, looking on eBay to find another set of dies. They show up now and then.

If your son can can 3D print, you might ask him to print small rings to slide on 500 EX cases to make thick rim cases.

I don't think Bertram brass is available in the US anymore, at least that's what I've heard.
I currently use their brass, which works well, and has the correct head stamp.
The best brass to use for conversion is 475 No.2 NE, as the rim is plenty thick.
I have some of that too, but have not converted it.

There is a new Bertram distributor who is now getting in brass. Of course, the price (like everything else) is greatly increased. Buffalo is also getting some Bertram brass.

The new distributer is Desert Tech Munitions. Eric was easy to buy from. https://deserttechmunitions.com/bertram/They seem to still be building out their assortment, so you might not find what you need. As stated above, Buffalo Arms is still selling Bertram brass. For my rifle in that chambering I'm using resized 500/416 brass that was cut down. That rifle, a Tranter, is due back to me this upcoming week. Looking to getting it back out to the range. You and I should get out to shoot once the weather isn't stupid hot. Chris

If you go the route of resizing 500/416 brass, it's relatively cheap. For some reason a year ago the prices on Gunbroker were really low. I think I got 50 cases for $50. More expensive now but cheaper than Bertram. Here's a listing (not mine): https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1193016961

Desert Tech told me that they are receiving new brass all the time and to check with them if you don;t see what you want in their webpage.

Steve - I am the one who needs to be thanking you, as you were kind enough to help me resize the 500/416 brass and build a new safety for my Tranter rifle. I can't wait to shoot that again...I've only had 5 rounds through it but it showed a ton of promise.
