I'm not sure the Shotgun marked Wonder and the barrels marked Wonder are from the same trademark. To start off with the "W" doesn't really exist in French. "Woof" would be "Ouaf". So it's an English transplant.

here are the Wonder name on the keys of two existing shotguns (In Saint-Etienne, shotguns and bicycles went together) - note the identical font to the Ravat co. bicycles.

Yet here is the "Wonder" from "Canon Wonder" from these barrels (there are other examples) - different font for the "W", different context: Why? Well, I'm still wondering about Wonder.
