Shrapnel, sorry - I had fun with your post but knew what you meant. I only shoot my vintage SxS's. Why shoot an ugly gun? My Vietnam Vets all shoot the same. We don't really care much about scores.

My sons will shoot their O/U's or sometimes for old times sake the 870's, but for me there's only the 1897 12ga Reilly SxS hammergun (my favorite - the gun that started the Reilly research), the 1886 Reilly SxS side lever 16 ga (currently experiencing some mechanical problems again), and the 1900 William Evans 20 ga SxS boxlock - smooth as butter. The Frenchie 16ga pretty much stays in the closet. That's it come rain or shine. Unless we decide to go full bore (younger) Stanton and shoot this:
