To add to the gun comparison the few Woodward O/U guns I’ve handled were in no way comparable to Boss. Thought functional they lacked a finished look of elegance in my opinion.

This is all very subjective but the market tells the tale. Look at the top end Italian makers. Notably Fabbri. Their guns far more resemble a Boss than a Purdey or Woodward. Who makes a Purdey O/U look alike? No one that I know of but might have missed something.
