Nothing nefarious here, dude. I’m asking because I’ve never seen this or heard of someone adding a shim to correct pin timing. It’s a serious question. Relax.
Every gunmaker I know just makes a new pin that tightens & times correctly. Back in the day some gunsmiths used to recommend having the head welded up and then refit. I and many others thinks it’s faster and easier just to make and fit a new pin.

So…..I’m curious and would like to see how this method of shimming to time pins works and how it’s done.
